Broken Tables highlights the leadership journey of women in Zambia through the lens of Mwangala Lethbridge’s pen. It is a recollection of events and incidents concerning thirty female leaders across a wide range of professions, from politicians to industry titans within the context of Zambia. As such, it is not merely the story of one person but the inspiring stories of women’s different perspectives on the stereotypes they face while navigating the political landscape, chasing or holding high positions.
The book also touches on the authors’ behind-the-scenes journey of her political campaign highlighting her humour as she navigates the question of whether politics is the only path to demonstrating patriotism.

Just Read BROKEN TABLES - WOW. Kudos to the writer. Mwangala great book, very well written. Loved the book launch made me want to read the book (not only because my wife is one of the Leaders of Industry). From the moment I picked up the book, I could not put it down. Had a few laughs and almost shed a tear or two. Every story had me wanting to have a serious word with my male folk about the misconceptions. I knew things were not easy for women in politics and leadership but I did not know how bad. I am definitely going to try and change the narrative in my own way, I have girl children. Once again great book, great read.
